School Council

At Ysgol Pentreuchaf, each class has four pupil representatives on the School Council. We hold regular meetings to discuss ways to improve our school. We also share fundraising ideas for different charities and the school.

School Council members are elected each year following a class vote. Pupils who wish to represent the school on the School Council present their manifesto to the rest of their class and put themselves forward for nomination. Elections then take place, and results are announced during assembly.

Members of the School Council will meet several times during the term to discuss the opinions and ideas of our pupils at Ysgol Pentreuchaf. These discussions are then fed back to the rest of the school through this website page, classroom discussions, assemblies and the School Council notice board.

Anti Catrin and Anti Alaw support us on the School Council and help us share our ideas with the staff.

If you are a child at Ysgol Pentreuchaf, you can share your ideas on how to improve the school in various ways, for example writing an idea on a piece of paper and posting it in the Ideas Box or scanning the QR code on the noticeboard.

But more importantly...

If you need anything, or if you want to suggest changes and express your opinion, tell your class representative.

THE SCHOOL COUNCIL IS HERE TO HELP YOU ALL!

The role of the School Council:

  • A voice for all the children of the school.
  • Offer suggestions for improving the school.
  • Organise fundraising events for charities and for the school.
  • Represent the school in public if necessary.
